To Those Yearning to be free: Strongly suggest you read: "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress" by Larry Nevin. This is a "story" set in the future. It is also a handbook on how to organize a successful popular rebellion. A book from the past would be: "The Peoples War / The Peoples Army" by the commanding general of the Viet Nam army whose name was Ngo Din Giap. Lots of useful information.
